The Instagram Profile Metrics section provides general information such as followers, engagement, growth, .. in the 'Social Profiles Metrics' chart. Below you can find the more platform specific metrics. This Support Article focuses on the specific metrics for Instagram. 

In the CX Social Settings, you can connect social profiles to a Topic. This will allow you to monitor the activity on this profile. Based on the mentions we picked up from these social profiles, we also provide a number of specific metrics that can be found in Insights > Profile Metrics.

Followers

The total number of people who follow this Instagram Profile. 
 

Post Engagement Rate

Here we show the evolution of how engaged the audience is with the content that was posted on the connected Instagram Profile. 

By default this graph is segmented by profile. This means that if you connected multiple Instagram profiles to your topic, all those pages will be represented separately in the graph. 

 

Calculation


Each day contains the last 28-days moving sum of Post Engagement Rate. We calculate this as such:

Post Engagement Rate = (Likes and comments on the pictures (posts) of the profile/ number of page posts) * 100


Example

The Post Engagement on March 29th is 1400 %. 



To retrieve this figure, we applied the above formula for the date range of 1 - 28 March, since we always take the moving sum for the last 28 days. This is the same figure you would see if you set your date range like this, and had a look at the Post Engagement Rate in the table on top of this page. 


 

Fan Engagement Rate

This graph shows the evolution of how engaged the audience is with the content that was posted on the connected Instagram profile(s). 

We segment this graph by profile. If you connected multiple Instagram profiles to your topic, all those pages will be represented in the graph as a separate line.

 

Calculation


Each day contains the moving sum of Fan Engagement Rate for the past 28 days. This rate is calculated with this formula:

Fan Engagement Rate = (Likes and comments on the pictures (posts) of the profile / number of followers) * 100


Example

Let's say the Fan Engagement chart shows 24.14 % on March 29th.



To retrieve this figure, we applied the above formula for the date range of 1 - 28 March, since we always take the moving sum for the past 28 days. This is the same figure you would see if you set your date range like this, and had a look at the Fan Engagement Rate in the table on top of this page. 


 

Engagement

Here you see the evolution of how many times the community engaged with a Instagram profile

The Engagement chart is also segmented by profile. By this we mean that if you connected multiple Instagram profiles to your topic, all those pages will be represented in the graph as a separate line.

 

Calculation

Each day contains the moving sum of Engagement for the past 28 days. This figure included the following types of mentions: Likes and comments on the pictures (posts) of the profile. This can be filtered on in Inbox using filter: Status is not sent AND profile is ... (your Instagram profile).


Example:

In the below chart we had 14 interactions with our Instagram community on March 29th:




In case we want to check this figure, I can go to Inbox and filter on the engagement with filter: 'Status is not Sent' AND 'Profile is ... (enter your Instagram Profile)'.





I selected date range 1 - 28 March, since we always take the moving sum for the past 28 days. On top of the page, under 'Tools', you will see the same amount as in the chart in Insights.

The total number of people this profile is following. 
 

Media

The total amount of items this user has posted to date.
