Working on mentions in bulk in the Inbox

CX Social provides many possibilities for performing actions on multiple mentions at once, i.e. in bulk. This is useful in the following situations:
  • Tagging all mentions that match a certain filter.
  • Adjusting the sentiment of all mentions in a conversation.
  • Marking all items that match a filter as read.

Selecting Multiple Mentions in the Inbox

 When in the Mentions list, you are able to press and hold CMD (on Mac) or CTRL (on Windows) to select multiple mentions. All the mentions will then be selected, and a pop-up will appear next to the Mentions List.

In the pop-up you are able to edit the selected mentions. Here you can change:
  • Status
  • Language
  • Country
  • Category
  • Type
  • Tags
  • Sentiment
  • Assign
  • Delete

Editing all Mentions in a Conversation

Similarly, when viewing a mention that is part of a conversation,  you can click the mention drop down menu in the context view and choose, 'Edit all mentions in conversation':

This can be very convenient when, for example, you want to adjust the sentiment of all mentions in a conversation (e.g. all retweets of a given tweet).

 

Bulk Removing Mentions

Other than manually selecting an set of mentions and then deleting them, you can also use smart delete to delete all mentions matching a certain filter. Check out this article to find out more about this option.
