Twitter Crawling in CX Social
CX Social uses the official Twitter API to crawl data. This also means that we can only use the official endpoints to crawl data from Twitter for CX Social.
Sending Tweets via CX Social publishing
If you are sending tweets or replies from CX Social to tweets from customers you might notice that these tweets aren’t automatically added in the Inbox or in the Conversation History. Reason why is when you sent a tweet via CX Social we sent a request via the REST API from Twitter to Twitter to post a reply. They accept the request and the tweet will appear on Twitter. Next we wait until the mention appears on Twitter and crawl it.
This causes a small visual delay before the tweet appears in the conversation history or your Inbox. You can find more information about the REST API from Twitter here (https://dev.twitter.com/rest/public)
