A very useful feature for dashboards is the exporting of the dashboard itself. This can come in handy when you need to make reports or give presentations. Another cool feature are the automatic e-mail reports in which you choose the frequency of the reports (and even let CX Social send them to people outside CX Social).

Exporting a dashboard
The export dropdown contains the following options:
● Export to PDF
● Export to PDF (Multicolumn)
● Export to Excel
● Export History
Export to PDF
Clicking this will instantly create a PDF file in a new tab:
Export to PDF (Multicolumn)
Exporting as a PDF multicolumn will give you a PDF-file with the exact same layout as your dashboard
Page breaks in Multicolumn Exports
One of the difficulties when doing a multicolumn export is how to handle page breaks. No worries though, we won't split any of the widgets in half in your exports. Instead we move a widget down if it no longer fits the page.
This widget will however push down all of the other widgets. The result is that the lay-out may have changed. So to indicate where page breaks will occur we added the show print view option. To enter 'print view', click on the small cog wheel on top of the page, and select 'Show Print View':
Enabling this option draws a red line where the page break will occur:
CX Social Pro Tip: You can add a “Page Break Widget” to make your layout “fit”. Open the widget gallery, and look for 'empty'. This widget will reserve space wherever you want, but won't be visible in the export.
Export to Excel
This will create an excel file of your dashboard and send it to your email address.
This will create a printable page on a new tab.
Here you can find all the files you’ve already exported. You’ll notice you can easily download your previous exports again.
Automatic email reports
Once your dashboards are set up, it can be useful to let CX Social send you automatic e-mail reports. You can enable this by selecting ‘Report Settings’ on top of your dashboard.
Here you can choose the frequency of your reports.
